PROVIDING ONLINE SUPPORT

The Student Affairs Unit caters for communication with prospective and current customers. It provides an online service to support customers (learners/tutors/ Programme Managers) and the general public through the following ways:

  2. E-Platform
  3. Bulk Mails
  4. SMS

 

  • SUPPORT TO PROSPECTIVE/CURRENT LEARNERS AND GENERAL PUBLIC VIA WEBSITE 
    • General Public
      • Posting of general information on website
  • ​Promoting the Open University
  • Updating banners/images regurlarly
  • Posting general information under news category (menu)
  • Posting of vacancies 
  • General information (provided by other institution using our website to disseminate information e.g. M.O.E, FSC, etc)

 

  • Prospective/Current Students
    • ​Posting of adverts for new intake from Marketing Department
      • Application Proceedures (payment mode, etc)
      • General Information
      • Number of Courses and facilities offered
      • Link for Online Form
    • Details on programme/syllabus/fees
    • Creation of new website to promote new activities as and when required

 

  • SUPPORT TO LEARNERS VIA E-PLATFORM (MOODLE)
    • Upload materials
    • Manage User Account
      • Enroll users on platform
      • Grant new learners access in their respective programme and modules
      • Send credentials to tutors, programme managers and new learners by mail (Username and Password)

  • SUPPORT LEARNERS AND TUTORS
    • Post important communiques (result, notice for exams among others)

 

  • SUPPORT TO LEARNERS VIA EMAIL
    • Bulk mail are sent to learners

    • Send sms to inform learners about urgent queries
    • Attend queries
